DENTAL BRIDGES & PARTIALS
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge consists of crowns that fit over your natural teeth on either side of the space and artificial teeth (called pontics) “bridge the gap". It’s a great restoration option for patients who do not have enough bone structure to support a dental implant, or who do not want to commit to an implant. The bridge needs to be well taken care to be a long lasting restoration
Why Replace Missing Teeth?
Besides potentially causing patients to lose confidence in their smile, a missing tooth can have negative effects on your oral health. A missing tooth can cause difficulty speaking and eating, and over time will result in the shifting of other teeth, bone loss, an uneven bite, and periodontal issues.
Partial Denture/Partial
Partial is a removal appliance that could replace multiple missing teeth with one appliance. It can be worn throughout the day even while eating. However, it needs to be removed when sleeping. Partial is a good option to replace missing teeth if the neighboring teeth are not good candidates for a bridge.
